Bund
The bund to the south of the site is progressing. It is intended that the bund will go as far down as the road and will be continuous to the top of the site bar a small gap needed for environmental monitoring equipment. Consideration is being given to the possibility of trees being planted on the bund in future.
Material being stored for Bentleys
Ross advised that the materials being held on site on behalf of Bentleys are starting to be returned to the reservoir site as Bentley are beginning to back fill around the reservoir structure.
Tarmac
There is currently a large Tarmac heap on site. Ross advised that removal of this Tarmac will commence in the following weeks. However at this time they are prioritising the removal of the product back to Bentleys.
New building update
There has been a delay in the new building due to supply issues. He did advise however they are hoping that the building will be completed in approx 12 weeks. This building will have 60mm sound proof cladding once completed
New wheel wash
A new wheel wash facility is now in use. This wheel wash is now flat and has no ramps like the previous one. This means there should be no more clanking of wheels as the lorries go over the wheel wash.
Ross went on to advise they have installed a new building which deals with waste that can’t be recycled. This building is much quieter than before with the only noise generated could be a plop noise as the waste material drops to the floor.
Road washing
Concerns were raised regarding the road sweeper and how often the roads are actually cleaned. Ross advised that the road is cleaned on average of 6 times per day sometimes more, the main road is swept up to Campground entrance, this is at a cost of £400 daily. During our visit to the site the road sweeper was actually there cleaning the roads on site.
Height of heaps around the site
Concerns were raised regarding the height of the heaps around the site. Ross advised he is aware they are large at present but they are sill within the allowed height.
New Road
Ross advised they have plans to put in a new road from the entrance round to reception which is being planned, this should cut down on dirt and dust once the new road is laid.
He went on to advise that if anyone has any concerns or issues about the site they are very welcome to contact him and he is also happy to give anyone a tour of the site.
