Height of mounds

Concerns were raised regarding the size of the mounds on site, in particular the soil mound near to Railway Close. Ross advised that the Environmental Agency have been out to site in respond to concerns raised directly to them and they advised that the height of the mound is acceptable as long as it is not higher the buildings on site.

The soil mound is currently being processed and is reducing in height.

Wash Plant

This is currently at the commission stage. Fabrication of the sides has started off site  and structural engineers were out 2 weeks ago so hopefully this will commence soon.

Road

Ross confirmed the road in and around the site is continuing to be swept on a regular basis as well as the paths

Yellow bund to side of site

This is sandstone and is currently going through the wash plant

General Information

Ross advised noise and dust monitored monthly. They also monitor the weather on a daily basis.

Update on the school reading space

Thompson’s originally donated between £2k-£3k when the school reading space project started in earnest, they then arranged for their own haulage contractor to crane in the cabin into position at the back of the school and supervised the whole operation, not easy as it is sited in a difficult position next to a stone wall that could not be damaged. Thompsons are now getting a ramp for disabled access into the reading space, finally they. And have donated another £250 for books.
